Swedish Massage

As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. It is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, and improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage centers on realigning the deeper layers of connective and muscle tissue. During a deep tissue massage, firm pressure and slow strokes are used to reach those deeper layers of muscle and fascia. It's used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

Prenatal Massage

Massage therapy during pregnancy is a wonderful choice for prenatal care. It is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches and edema (or swelling).  LOR Spa provides prenatal massage after the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Cupping Massage

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of practice that uses suction cups on the neck and shoulders to create decompression, rather than tissue compression. This unique experience, along with a full body massage, is non-invasive and helps relieve aching muscles and joint stiffness, reduce inflammation and provide relief for many acute and chronic conditions.

Myofascial Release

with Nicole

Fascia is a tough, elastic membrane that wraps, connects and supports your muscles and organs. If the fascia has become stiff and fixed, muscle and joint movements can be restricted, which contributes to widespread muscle pain. During myofascial release therapy, these stiff fascia areas are located, stretched, and loosened so that the body can move more freely, and the patient's motion is restored.

Raindrop Restore

with Nicole

The Raindrop Restore uses a specific formula of essential oils. This technique is a means to detoxify the system and bring balance back to your body. Nine essential oils are used during this treatment and are applied to the feet and back. Because the oils remain under the skin for several days, the restorative benefits continue long after your massage ends.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a natural therapy in which warmed stones are positioned on parts of the body to maximize the therapeutic benefit. The stones used are typically river rocks or other very smooth-surfaced stones made of basalt. These stones are heated in sanitizing water before use. The high iron content in basalt helps the stones retain heat during the massage. Hot stone massages are beneficial on both physical and psychological levels.

Our Hot Stone and Deep Tissue Massage is a natural and effective therapy that combines the benefits of both techniques. Smooth-surfaced, heated basalt stones are strategically placed on the body to enhance the therapeutic benefits of the massage. This technique helps in relaxing muscles and reducing tension.

Our hot stones are sanitized and contain high levels of iron, allowing them to retain heat and provide long-lasting benefits. The deep tissue massage, on the other hand, focuses on realigning the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue through firm pressure and slow strokes.

This massage offers both physical and psychological benefits, including reduced muscle tension, improved circulation, and a greater sense of relaxation. It's a perfect treatment for those seeking relief from chronic pain or looking to unwind after a long day. Experience the ultimate relaxation with our Hot Stone and Deep Tissue Massage today.
